This year’s conference, themed “Better Together”, will be held in a hyflex format on May 9, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with both in-person sessions hosted at Briercrest College in Caronport, SK, and virtual access provided via the Pheedloop platform.
The conference is a collaborative effort between TESL Saskatchewan and SK TEAL, and we anticipate an engaged audience of 150–200 TESL professionals from across the province, representing various sectors such as settlement, academic, and teacher training programs.
We are especially pleased to welcome Dr. Hyunjung Shin as this year’s keynote speaker—an international scholar renowned for her contributions to the field of language education. Attendees can also look forward to a full day of approximately 35 dynamic workshops and presentations.

- In-Person Ticket – TESL SK / SK TEAL Member: $100
- Online Ticket – TESL SK / SK TEAL Member: $100
- In-Person Ticket – Non-Member: $125
- Online Ticket – Non-Member: $125

TESL Sask/Sask TEAL 2025 Annual Conference: Better Together
Conference Date: May 9, 2025
Presentation Proposals
We invite educators, researchers, and practitioners to submit proposals for presentations at the TESL SK/SK TEAL Annual Conference 2025. We are currently seeking proposals for the following formats:
1. Research Presentations (50 Minutes, including Q&A)
- Description: These presentations should include:
- A clearly defined research topic.
- A very brief literature review.
- An overview of the research methodology and findings.
- A discussion of the implications for theory and/or practice.
2. Workshops (50 Minutes including Q&A)
- Description: Workshops should:
- Demonstrate a teaching or testing technique, or another education-related strategy.
- Provide hands-on professional development, allowing attendees to learn something new or revisit effective strategies.
- If additional time is required, presenters may request a double block of time.
