Hello All- I am Aman Khan, an Immigrant Canadian living in Saskatchewan. As a student, I remained a student of University of Pennsylvania at Penn Graduate School of Education (GSE), Philadelphia, USA, for my TESOL related courses. Additionally, I completed my Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics and Discourse Studies from Carleton University in Ottawa, ON, and authored a dissertation on Identity formation and educational Discourse. I have been awarded with Fulbright Scholarship to USA, and I have been honoured with Carleton University Departmental Scholarship for my master’s degree from school of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies, Carleton University.

I worked as a PBLA-ESL Instructor at Great Plains College and as a Literacy Facilitator and ESL Instructor at Carlton Trail College, SK. I have also worked with two settlement sector service provider organizations in SK as a LINC ESL Instructor and Program Coordinator. Recently, I have been awarded with TESL Canada award for Teaching Excellence and TESL Canada PD award at TESL SK Conference 2019.

I am drawn towards the board of director position on TESL SK because my education, knowledge, Skill-Set, training, experiences and Abilities are closely related to the field of ESL as an Instructor, as a coordinator, as a project manager (Literacy Facilitator), and as a founder and director of Community Development at Diverse Saskatchewan Foundation, Saskatoon.
