New funding stream, 2021 Multifaith calendar and Stats Can survey

We hope you are safe and well. This email is to inform you about the new MCoS microgrant available to members and some other information.

  • MCoS NEW Microgrant application: We recognize that many organizations are facing challenges due to the ongoing pandemic. We have heard that maintain community connections, carrying it programs, raising funds through grants and self-generation are all difficult and causing strains. Now, MCoS will like to offer specific support you will need to keep providing value in the community. You can fill the attached form to apply and visit the page to read more. This will be ongoing support. Applicants must be a non-profit organization member of MCoS and have their current membership paid. New members are welcome.   • Give a Gift of Culture and Education this Holiday Season! 2021 Multifaith calendar is still available: The Multifaith Calendar is a unique educational resource that facilitates understanding of religious observances, occasions and festivals important to a wide spectrum of cultural and faith communities. Featuring 26 pieces of original art from visual artists across North America and Internationally, the 2021 MFC marks the 35th year of publication and features the theme: Living Legacies, the 35th anniversary edition. Attached is the order form. You can either fill it and email it or visit http://mcos.ca/store/ to place your order and make payment online. The 2021 Multifaith Calendar offers the opportunity to visually reflect on what living legacies can be left for current and future generations.
  • Stats Can research the diversity of boards: Statistics Canada has issued a survey seeking information on the diversity of charitable and non-profit boards across Canada. This information will be used to help non-profits and charities understand how their board compositions compare to similar organizations. We hope that Saskatchewan non-profits will be represented in this information, so we encourage you to complete the survey if you are interested. The survey deadline is December 23, 2020.
