The Saskatchewan Intercultural Association [SIA] has designed an orange shirt that is available for you to purchase and wear on September 30th. If you would like to learn more about the story behind orange shirt day, please click on this link: www.orangeshirtday.org.
SIA is doing this as a fundraiser and all proceeds from the shirts will go towards creating opportunities and projects for rekindling the Kinships, Land base relationships and Languages that have been impacted by centuries of colonization, assimilation, and genocide. Funds and partnerships are being cultivated to put on events and projects that will move towards healing within our communities, and opportunities to rebuild relationships amongst ourselves and our land bases.
Please submit your order form and payment by September 18th, 2019. Shirts will be available for distribution/pick up on or before September 27th, 2019.
Payment (cash or cheque) and order forms can be submitted in person at SIA’s Office: 601B 1st Avenue North or you can send the order forms and e-transfer payments to [email protected] with the password ‘orange’.
Any additional inquires can be sent to our Intercultural Education Coordinator who is leading this initiative: Gabrielle Lee at [email protected]
